Hello I have an issue with my provider, regarding multipart long messages Only when send multipart long messages, i see in the SMS_Out file "Timeout waiting from server or lost connection". So NOWSMS trying to repeat this connection again to send the message and after it get response from the provider, OK the message sent correctly The strange issue, that there is huge duplicates in messages although the credit of the user is correct and smpp account usage is correct. But my provider send to me report with many and many duplicates message to many numbers and i already receive multipart long messages on my mobile many times although the smpp stats not show any unusual usage. this issue never happened before it just happened this month only although i use NowSMS since long years ago Now, i'm in a problem with my provider, he said the repeating is from my software NowSMS and i told him i can't repeat after i got response from your server. this issue not happened with normal message just happened with multipart long messages. Example : if i send 3000 SMS multipart - the count of user will be 6000 SMS - the count of SMPP account will be 6000 SMS but the report from the operator will be 8000 or 9000 depends on how many numbers timout then repeat connection Could you suggest the solution ? Hi, That is a strange scenario. If you see "Timeout waiting from server or lost connection", this indicates that the SMPP connection needed to be reset and a new SMPP connection created. Does this error consistently happen when sending the first part or the second part? Or both? Does the log show a delay of 1-2 minutes between the previous message and the "Timeout waiting from server or lost connection" error? There are some different options on how long messages are encoded over SMPP. The provider might prefer a different encoding. Under "Advanced Settings" for the SMPP connection, try the following different settings combinations. Note: When changing this setting, to apply it, it is necessary to press “OK” twice, then “Apply” and either wait 1 minute for the server to load the changed settings, or restart the service. 1.) “Encode long messages with 7-bit packed encoding” – NOT CHECKED “Use TLV parameters for port numbers and segmentation” – NOT CHECKED “Use WDP Adaptation for WAP Push and MMS” – NOT CHECKED 2.) “Encode long messages with 7-bit packed encoding” – CHECKED “Use TLV parameters for port numbers and segmentation” – NOT CHECKED “Use WDP Adaptation for WAP Push and MMS” – NOT CHECKED 3.) “Encode long messages with 7-bit packed encoding” – NOT CHECKED “Use TLV parameters for port numbers and segmentation” – CHECKED “Use WDP Adaptation for WAP Push and MMS” – NOT CHECKED 4.) “Encode long messages with 7-bit packed encoding” – NOT CHECKED “Use TLV parameters for port numbers and segmentation” – NOT CHECKED “Use WDP Adaptation for WAP Push and MMS” – CHECKED You will likely see errors and/or garbled messages with all but one of these settings combinations.
