Hi, I've just downloaded the trial version of the SMS-Email gateway and it says it's version 2.1 Is this correct? as I see mentions of 4.10 on your site.. We have a 24 x 7 Internet connection and so ideally would be interested in going with SMPP or HTTP for the comms method. How would one gain access to an SMSC to evaluate the trial version? If this is not possible - please advise the best way of us being able to actively trial the software. Apologies if this question appears "dumb" Regards Steve. | |||

Hi Steve, I think you sent an e-mail in to us as well. Basically, there are two different products. The Now SMS/MMS Gateway is our general purpose SMS and MMS gateway. There is also an SMS E-Mail Gateway product that is specific to bidirectional exchange between e-mail and SMS. I'll get back to you with more information in response to your e-mail message. I don't normally deal with support of the SMS E-Mail Gateway, so I need to take some time to set it up and remind myself of how it works. If you're trying to use the SMS E-mail gateway, you need an SMS service provider that provides bi-directional support, which means SMPP instead of HTTP. (Unfortunately, SMPP providers aren't cheap, even to test.) Alternatively, if the volume is relatively light (not more than 6 messages per minute on the average), you could do it through a mobile phone as the SMSC. Let me get back to you via e-mail.
