I am developing an application, which makes use of the MMSComp utility to compile an SMIL file, an image file, and a text file into an MMS and sends a MMS notification to the recipient via the NowSMS/MMS gateay. I have no problem receiving the message on a Sony Ericsson T68i but fail to receive it on a Nokia 7650. When I attempted to beam the MMS file to the 7650 via infrared, the phone returns a "invalid content type" message. Are there any compatiblity issues with MMS on phones from different manufacturers? | |||

Well, I don't have any experience "beaming" MMS files to a device. Quite frankly, I would have been surprised if it did work. Are you beaming it to the T68i? I do know that when it comes to downloading MMS message content via the WAP browser, the T68i supports some tricks that the Nokia phones do not. -bn | |||
