Hello, It seems I can't get 2-way SMS to work. What my common sense tells me from this log, it can't get the sender's GSM number from the phone: 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: Decoding received message index 1 from message storage SM 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: SMSC address len = 7 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: SMSC Address = +358405202000 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: SMS Message Type = SMS-DELIVER 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: Sender address len = 12 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: Sender Address = 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: PID = 00 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: DCS = 00 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: Anticipated user data length = 8 20:34:00:923 [2] ThreadProcessModem: Message = Ldjmgmg 20:34:00:933 [2] ThreadProcessModem: AT+CMGD=1 20:34:01:264 [2] ThreadProcessModem: OK As you can see from the log, "Sender address" is empty. Is that ok, or why would it be so? I was thinking that if it cant get the sender's number, of course it can't send an SMS back? The number I sent the test message from is a normal listed number, not an unlisted one. Well anyway, I can send SMS messages just fine, but I can't get it to send anything back when trying to use this 2-way SMS. I am using a Nokia data cable and an old 7110 phone. Thanks for any help. This seems like a really nice piece of software, if I can get it to work. ;)

We placed a software update onto the web site late on Monday. That version had a bug in 2-way SMS, exactly as you describe above. We updated the software download on the web site just a few hours ago to fix this problem. Only the SMSGWS.EXE is affected, as you've provided your e-mail address in the posting, I'll go ahead and e-mail you a ZIP with just the updated SMSGWS.EXE. -bn

Ok, that explains a lot. Yes, if you'd be so kind and mail the .exe file to my email, it would be most appriciated! And thank you for the quick reply. -aki |
