Hi,

I don't really have enough details to be able to answer your question.

What is the exact text of the error message?

The only thing that I could figure that would be written to the event log were if the connection to the SMSC was failing because of an invalid username and password.

Verify that you have the correct username and password for the SMSC that you are connecting with.

If you are using an HTTP-based SMSC, you should make sure that you have the v4.11 release of NowSMS (the current version in the library), as we were having some problems connecting to multi-homed HTTP-based SMSC.

Any additional detail would be helpful.

I didn't read the subject line of your message before I posted that reply. I see you mention that it is an HTTP based SMSC.

The test for the HTTP based SMSC is not as thorough as for some of the other types, because with most services you can't find much out until you actually try to send a message.

My suggestion about making sure that you are running v4.11 of the NowSMS gateway is a good one.

If that doesn't make a difference, then please run the gateway in debug mode. You can do this by manually editing SMSGW.INI, and adding Debug=Yes under the [SMSGW] section header. Then restart the gateway.

Repeat your attempt to send a message, then send the SMSDEBUG.LOG file to nowsms@now.co.uk, and we'll take a look at it.
