Hello , i am adding an SMSC modem i press test and add, after like 30 sec it says modem tested successfully, and if i press test again every thing is normal, My problem happen when i press apply it say that the service must be restarted and i say ok, after this if i press test directly it will say there is no modem and to check the power of it , and it removes the modem from the SMSC and if i tried to add it another time the com1 will not be avaliable untill i stop the service and then restart the program,

How can i fix this,

Note i did same thing to another PC and it works but i need it to be run on our RackMount Server

Are you connecting to the server via Terminal Server (Remote Desktop)?

If so, there is an issue that if the NowSMS service is running ... any modem test will fail while the service is running, because the service process already has the modem activated.

In this configuration, the only way to test the modem is to stop the service first.
