Currently, we are using NowSMS/MMS Gateway v5.51 which does not give the support of EMS messages.

We are interested in upgrading to NowSMS/MMS Gateway v 2006, which is supporting EMS messages.

Would please tell the level of compliance of this ems implementation regarding 3GPP TS 23 040 3.10?

3.1.1.1.1.2 Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS) support compliant with 3GPP TS 23 040 3.10 (R6).

Hi,

I don't understand the phrase "level of compliance" in this context, because it is not a question of "compliance".

You can send EMS messages with any version of NowSMS. However, NowSMS 2006 contains a user interface to simplify the creation of some types of EMS messages. (Without this user interface, you would need to construct the raw EMS messages yourself.)

Pages 69-75 and 177-184 in the NowSMS 2006 manual (http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms2006.pdf) will give an idea of the type of EMS messages that can be constructed.

The "Send EMS Text" user interface can be used to generate EMS messages that include text formatting (3.10.1), predefined animations (3.10.3), and predefined sounds (3.10.4).

The "Send EMS Picture Message" user interface can be used to generate EMS messages that include extended pictures (3.10.2).

The "Send EMS Ring Tone" user interface can be used to generate EMS messages that include user defined sounds (3.10.4).

Other types of EMS messages can be sent by NowSMS, but no user interface tools are provided for constructing them.

I hope that helps answer your question. If not, then please clarify.
