Hello,

I am using the web interface of the "Send XML Setting Document" to send this XML file to a handset:-

*************************************************
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE o-ex:rights PUBLIC "-//OMA//DTD DRMREL 1.0//EN"
"http://www.oma.org/dtd/dr">
<o-ex:rights
xmlns:o-ex="http://odrl.net/1.1/ODRL-EX"
xmlns:o-dd="http://odrl.net/1.1/ODRL-DD"
xmlns:ds="http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#/"
>
<o-ex:context>
<o-dd:version>1.0</o-dd:version>
</o-ex:context>
<o-ex:agreement>
<o-ex:asset>
<o-ex:context>
<o-dd:uid>cid:seperate_delivery_horse2 </o-dd:uid>
</o-ex:context>
<ds:KeyInfo><ds:KeyValue>lBmjrGlToFFAVsn4PdX5Dw== </ds:KeyValue></ds:KeyInfo>
</o-ex:asset>
<o-ex:permission>

<o-dd:play>
<o-ex:constraint>
<o-dd:count>5</o-dd:count>
</o-ex:constraint>
</o-dd:play>

<o-dd:display>
<o-ex:constraint>
<o-dd:count>5</o-dd:count>
</o-ex:constraint>
</o-dd:display>

<o-dd:execute>
<o-ex:constraint>
<o-dd:count>5</o-dd:count>
</o-ex:constraint>
</o-dd:execute>

<o-dd:print>
<o-ex:constraint>
<o-dd:count>5</o-dd:count>
</o-ex:constraint>
</o-dd:print>
</o-ex:permission>
</o-ex:agreement>
</o-ex:rights>
********************************************

However, I received nothing at the Nokia 6680 handset ? SMS, WAP Push are all working fine, except this one.

Can anyone shed some lights ?

Thanks.

David

Hi David,

It's really hard to say what the problem could be ... because most phones won't give you any indication that they have received a rights object if they do not have a piece of content to which it applies.

So if your CID does not match a piece of existing content, or the key value doesn't match ... you won't necessarily see anything.

I posted a ZIP with an example that you might want to try as a sanity check for your configuration. It's referenced in our most recent newsletter:

http://www.nowsms.com/newsletter/20060403.htm

Basically, try downloading the DCF file from that ZIP to your device ... and then try sending the rights object in the ZIP via the "Send XML Settings" interface.

As a starting point, see if you can get those files to work.

Dear Bryce,

Many thanks. It sounds the ZIP will help me a lot to identify problems.

But, I can't find the ZIP file anywhere from the newsletter area.

Can you please be more exact as where I can find it. Pls excuse my ignorant.

Thanks again.
