SMSAccountingCallback not working

Hello,

I'm using a trial version of NowSMS 2006. I added SMSAccountingURL=http://localhost:9999/test.php
The script is never called when I try to send messages and we intend to use it as confirmation for successful sending of messages. (note:We use SMPP connections)

Is there something missing that should be done in SMSGW.INI?

Hi,

I can only guess that the setting has not been properly configured ... because if there was a problem connecting to the URL, NowSMS would reject any messages that you submit to it.

You have this setting under the [SMSGW] section header within SMSGW.INI, right? And there is only one [SMSGW] section header in the file?

Can you post SMSGW.INI (just blank out the details for your upstream SMPP connection)?

Hi Bruce,

I'm having the same problem as descriped in this post.
My Accounting URL is never being called. I've even tryed setting a dummy URL that does not exist so that according to the documentation the gateway should reject all when trying to send SMS/MMS.
This does not happen. All SMS/MMS are being sent without the URL ever being called neither before or after the SMS/MMS has been sent?

Hi Morten,

Thanks for posting the SMSGW.INI. I don't think I would have guessed the problem if I hadn't seen it.

On the "Web" page of the NowSMS configuration dialog, you need to check "Require Authentication for web interface". The callbacks are not triggered unless individual user accounts are enabled.
