Dear Bryce

In OMA OTA parameter "PXADDR", is there any way to define the proxy using it's generic alphanumeric address like: proxy.operator.com
instead of using ip address like: 192.168.1.50

thnx

Hi Ehab,

Some phones will support this if you also include:

<parm name="PXADDRTYPE" value="ALPHA"/>

Our web form will always generate "IPV4" as the "PXADDRTYPE" value, so you would need to create your own custom XML to do this.
