Hi all! I have a problem with delivery reports in NowSMS 2006. I can not correctly set the delivery reports! I can not take it at all. I have two GSM-modems, one of them is working only for sending messages and both for receiving. But in log & input files i don`t see any delivery reports. Send SMS command i sent via http with flag "ReceiptRequested=Yes". Help me, please! | ||||

Hi, It is very possible that either your modem or your mobile operator does not support delivery reports. The first thing that I would suggest is to try a test to see if your mobile operator supports delivery reports. Try to find a phone that will allow you to configure your SMS settings to request a delivery report. See if you get a delivery report when sending an SMS with the phone. We can also take a closer look at your SMSDEBUG.LOG to confirm that the flags are set properly, and to see if we see anything unusual. To enable the SMSDEBUG.LOG, check the checkbox on the "Serial #" page of the configuration dialog. Then try sending another message with a delivery report requested ... preferably back to the phone number of the modem itself, and wait for a minute or so after the message is received ... then reply back to this post with the SMSDEBUG.LOG as an attahcment. -bn | ||||

My SMSDEBUG.LOG is in attachment. At first i send sms with DLR and then i send the same message, but without submitting DLR.
How can i see the sequence of smpp data, which is sending in the network? | ||||

When SMSDEBUG.LOG is enabled, SMPP transactions are logged in SMPPDEBUG.LOG. The flags are being set correctly ... so in addition to verifying that your network supports DLRs by sending from a handset with DLR requested (to see if the handset can get a DLR) ... I have one other suggestion. Some modems only support delivery reports when "SMS Message Storage" is set to be "Direct to Modem" in NowSMS. -bn | ||||

I solved this problem. It`s needed to set all phone numbers (for each modem) & allow all modems to receive messages & also set "SMS Message Storage" to be "Direct to Modem". Great thanks, Bryce, for help. | ||||

Excellent ... thanks for posting back. I wouldn't have thought about having a phone number set for the modem being a requirement ... but it appears you are correct, that is also a requirement for this functionality to work. | ||||
