i am a small scale value added service provider, and i will like to know if nowsms can be used for a solution where subscriber recieving email in their mailbox on the web are notified of such mail through sms on their gsm mobile phone | |||

NowSMS can accept e-mail messages via SMTP, and deliver them as SMS (truncated) or MMS. NowSMS does not poll external mailboxes, so you would need to configure rules or forwarding on the other e-mail system, or with some other external piece of software. -bn | |||

please do you know any software that does polling that can easily interface with nowsms that you can recommend | |||

Sorry, I don't know of any. Usually people use auto-forwarding or filtering/rules built into their e-mail clients. I've never investigated independent "polling" applications that would do this independent of the mail client or mail server. (Technically it is very possible as long as you can connect remotely using POP3 or IMAP4, I just have never investigated actual products.) -bn | |||
