Greetings,

We are currently trying to clean up databases by removing 'dead' numbers. For this we have are looking at parsing the logfiles for the delivery reports and clean up the databases.

Now, delivery reports are coming in left right and center btw WTF do they mean? :-)

We have contacted our Networks to try to get a better understanding of the error codes receive but the general comment is that 'the reports responce and error messages are specific to the application'

As NowSMS is working on the SMPP 3.4, we have taken the error codes from the SMPP manual and work according to them.

So my question is:
How accurate is this assumption?
And what are the differences in the delivery reports e.g.

stat:DELIVRD err:000
stat:DELIVRD err:034

stat:UNDELIV err:000
stat:EXPIRED err:061

stat:REJECTD err:013
stat:REJECTD err:001

Regards and Thanks

Hi,

Error codes within an SMPP delivery receipt are not the same as general SMPP error codes.

To the best of my knowledge, they are all provider specific. I've never seen a list that attempted to define them for different providers.
