Assuming I have two functional GSM modem connected to the same computer :

1. Is it possible to control who will be the device which sends sms using the API or it is completely random (assuming both device are up and running) ?
2. Though I red here at the discussion forums that it is currently impossible , just for double checking : is it possible to configure primary / high priority modem out of the two or more connected to the same computer .

Thanks.

Hi,

1.) The following thread explains how to select which SMSC connection is used for routing a message:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/11908.html

2.) There is not support for a concept of priority messages. What you can do, however, is create different user accounts, and configure NowSMS to limit the number of messages it will process from any particular user's outbound message queue before checking other users' outbound message queues.

See the "Priority Message Queue Handling" article in the following newsletter for more of an explanation: http://www.nowsms.com/newsletter/nowsms2006.htm

Additionally, if you use separate user accounts, you can configure things such that only your priority user accounts have access to a particular modem or SMSC connection. See my description of these settings under the "b.)" header in the following thread: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/15057.html
