Dear Bryce , It has been a While now that we are trying to submit Long Text SMS Via NOWSMS through our Providers , yet all possibilities failed. we compared our output via NOWSMS , with the Output our provider Generates when Long Text SMS is submitted Directly . We figured out that problem was in Encoding Scheme as they use 8 bit unpacked Encoding which results different from what Now SMS Generates. Hi, You don't mention what type of SMSC connection you are using. If you are experiencing long text problems, then the following advice applies for different protocols: SMPP - Under "Advanced Settings", UNcheck "Encode long text messages with 7-bit packed encoding". UCP/EMI - Edit SMSGW.INI, and create a [UCP] section of this file (this is a separate section from [UCP - host.name:port]), and under this section header, add LongSMSTextEncoding=Yes. (If that does not fix the problem, change it to LongSMSTextEncoding=No ... there are different default values for this setting in different versions of NowSMS.) HTTP - The only option in NowSMS v5.51 and earlier is to check "Send long messages without segmentation", which requires the server to which you are connecting to perform the segmentation. In NowSMS 2006, it is possible to update to the version at http://www.nowsms.com/download/patch2006.zip (2006.06.23 or later), which has a configuration option that can be added to the [HTTP - host.name:port] section of SMSGW.INI: LongTextAsText=Yes. -bn | |||
