I am trying to use the 2-Way SMS feature of NowSMS, but I am having some problems. The SMSC (which is mBlox) configuration seems to be correct. I am able to send SMS messages to my cell phone using NowSMS. I am also able to send Mobile Originated SMS Messages from my cell phone to the NowSMS service, which are logged to the current SMSIN.log file. I have created a local NowSMS user to which the messages are routed. However, I have created a command with a generic prefix (*) in the 2-Way configuration dialog and the command never gets executed when a MO SMS message reaches the NowSMS service. The command is just the DOS "Echo" example from the NowSMS manual. Is there something I may be missing about the 2-Way configuration?

Hi Marcos, Did you remove the routing for received messages to get routed to a local user account under the SMSC definition? That would override the 2-way commands (at least it would override it for messages received from that specific SMSC). -bn

Hi Bryce, Yes, after I removed the routing for received messages, the 2-way commands worked. Thanks! Marcos |
