Im using a Motolla E550 but can't seem to setup or find the serial port service to transffer the sms messages to and from me pc. If my phone cant setup serial posts (E550), is there an alternative way to set this up? | |||

Hi, Is this a support question about NowSMS? For SMS sending/receiving, NowSMS can be configured to connect to a COM port directly, so you could try that. (MMS sending does require a Windows modem driver to be installed.) That said, I do not know whether or not the Motorola E550 supports a GSM modem interface. Regarding modem drivers, normally the modem driver would come on a CD with the phone or cable. Failing that, it should be available on the manufacturer web site. I did a quick check of the Motorola web site, I could only find information on the E550 available in German and Czech, so I do not know if there is a modem driver available for that phone or not. -bn | |||
