We are testing NowSMS as our SMS gateway - captured SMS's are forwarded to an app server on the same machine. But we're also using a Sierra AirCard GSM PCI modem/phone with a SIM card in it (making it a valid phone). When we transmit SMS's to this phone, Sierra's 'Watcher' program tends to capture the SMS's before NowSMS can handle them, or at least it seems to 'buffer' them for some time. It has an 'SMS Express' GUI (like an in/out box) that shows the SMS's but our flow-through is not happening consistently. Does anyone know any details about how to mitigate this or ANYTHING else that might be related? Thanks | |||

Hi Ben, Yes, you need to disable watcher. There's some old advice here: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/2265.html The advice there refers to older versions of the Sierra software ... but basically the concept is that Watcher must be disabled, but you need to configure the default profile to "auto-connect" before you disable watcher. -bn | |||
