We have abtained ip and parameter for SMPP configurations from the GSM operators.
I have configured SMPP SMSC in NowSMS with the option of "send and receive messages over the same connection".
When test the Connection it is OK.
Our GSM operator provides five digit shortcode to send messages to our SMPP SMSC..

This is the Parameters sent by our GSM operators

IP address 196.46.241.77

System ID; ****

Password; ****

Port; 3780

Bind mode; Tx/Rx

SMPP version; 3.4

Ton/Npi; 1/1

We are not create any SMSC Users.

User sent Message using the shortcode. But we are not able to get response in SMS-IN folder.

My expectation is when user send message to SMPP SMSC,it will fires the 2 way SMS command.

Here with i have attached the screenshot for the SMPP Configuration.

Can anyone suggest me what is wrong.

Thanks
Ramesh Kumar

Hi Ramesh,

Disable all 2-way commands.

If there are no message files appearing in the SMS-IN directory, then I would suspect that something is wrong with the configuration at your provider.

You may want to try disabling "Send and Receive Messages over the same connection" to see if this makes a difference. When they told you "Bind mode; Tx/Rx", this is ambiguous. This could be interpreted in different ways ... it might mean that they want you to bind twice, once as a transmitter and once as a receiver ... or it could mean that they want you to bind only once as a transceiver.

If that doesn't make a difference ... still no messages appearing in SMS-IN, then I think you will have to ask your provider what they are seeing on their end.
