Only if you are sending messages via an SMS provider that supports this capability (it is known as "alphanumeric sender"). It is not technically possible when sending messages via a GSM modem. (When you send via a GSM modem, the protocol does not allow a sender address to be defined. The GSM modem submits the message to the operator SMSC for outbound sending, and the operator SMSC always applies the sender address associated with the SIM card in the modem.) -bn | |||
