Is it possible to send mms via 3rd party smpp connection instead of using gsm modem? If Yes How do i set it up? | |||

Only if the mobile operator of your recipient allows MMS delivery by external MMSCs. Please see http://www.nowsms.com/howmmsworks.htm for an explanation of how MMS works. Generally speaking, the two configuration options are either that NowSMS is an MMSC (in which case it sends MMS notifications out via SMS, and there is no difference whether the SMSC connection is a GSM modem or SMPP), or it routes MMS messages via an operator MMSC connection (which might be using the GPRS capabilities of a GSM/GPRS modem, or it could be a TCP/IP connection to a mobile operator using MM7). -- Malcolm Now Wireless Support |
