Hi,

I would like to see an SMSDEBUG.LOG showing the message(s) in question being received. (Enable this log using the checkbox on the "Serial #" page of the configuration dialog.)

What you are describing is not normal behaviour.

If you move the SIM card from the modem into a mobile phone, does the mobile phone correctly receive the long message as a single message?

Here is the original msg sent to the modem.

"TXT +639172559016/WMndk ckdck ojdaj umjdjamd 5mjgajmkptjgmk kaebmjgtm tj tnjgat tnjdc njdbgja umjgkmj tna cej u helo d0c gud am. Pde ka d0c mag cnd otro hn halaba na msg? Thanks ranny"

As you can see in the smsin.log, only the word
"TXT +639172559016/WMndk ckdck ojdaj umjdjamd 5mjgajmkptjgmk kaebmjgtm tj tnjgat tnjdc njdbgja umjgkmj tna cej u helo d0c gud am. Pde ka d0c mag cnd otro " are being passed into the @@SMS@@ url field to be processed.

The other remaining are sent into the inbox.
any idea? Im using version2006.03.09

Hi Ranny,

This does not appear to have anything to do with NowSMS (and probably not the modem either).

The message is coming into NowSMS from the modem without any indicators to suggest that the message is a multipart message.

I would suggest trying what I asked aboutin the previous message ...

If you move the SIM card from the modem into a mobile phone, does the mobile phone correctly recieve the long message as a single message?

I expect that the mobile phone will receive the long message as multiple separate messages, just as is the case with NowSMS and the modem.

And I suspect that the reason for this is the international interconnect between the source operator and the destination operator in the US. This particular interconnect probably does not support long SMS (because only the GSM operators in the US would be able to support it, so they are likely going through a generic interconnect to all US operators that does not support GSM specific attributes).

Anyway ... put the SIM in the phone, and I expect you will see what I am describing. And if this is the case, there is no way for NowSMS to know that the messages are intended to be multiple parts of a single message.
