I installed NowSMS gateway and I want all the received SMS to go to specific email address,

If I configure the SMPP connection and it work fine, then I go to 2-way and enable "process received SMS messages" and create new command with (mailto: with (*) SMS prefix, and then I go to MMSC and configure the SMTP port and enable SMTP smart mailer.

This with be fine to achieve that? Or should I do other things?
Also should I enable any Specific Service to accomplish that? I mean SMTP, POP3 or Other? So the server can send SMS as emails?

That should be fine.

You do need to have both the SMS gateway and the MMSC service active.

The MMSC does need to have an available "HTTP Port Number" and "SMTP Port Number" configured, even though you will not actually be using them for anything in your configuration.

As an aid in troubleshooting, let me explain the path that the received messages would take through NowSMS.

When first received, they would go to the SMS-IN directory for 2-way command processing.

When the "mailto:" command is encountered as a 2-way command, the message will be reformatted as an e-mail and posted to the MMSCOUT directory.

The MMSC process then takes responsibility for outbound e-mail routing.

The most common problem that you might encounter is for the message to get stuck in MMSCOUT because NowSMS is having problems resolving DNS as a smart mailer ... but if this happens, check the MMSCDEBUG.LOG and it might provide some insight as to what is being tried.
