Hi, I have connected my device(6600) via bluetooth to my PC through which I can access the internet. I can successfully browse web sites. When I Installed NowSMS and tried to connect the SMSC. In add modem section when I select GSM/modem and then my bluetooth DUN modem from the dropdown it showed the following error:Unable to access modem at COMx: -- Error 5 -- Access Denied -- Another application is already using this device----- I tried giving different com(14,1,2) the application freezes. I would like to tell that I have not attached any cables from my decvice to the PC. Only bluetooth is connected. Should I connect any cables in order to add the modem. Please let me know. Hi Syed, The "Access denied" error suggests that another application already has the modem open. Do you have the dial-up connection active when you try to define the modem to NowSMS? NowSMS needs full control over the modem. When you connect via dial-up networking, what is the modem driver that you are using? Make sure to use this same modem driver when adding the modem to the SMSC list in NowSMS. -bn |
