I understand that NowSMS supports concatenation to send long SMS messages. What is the maximum size of a long SMS? | |||

In the current version, a long SMS message is truncated at 1000 characters. Assuming standard text characters, you get 153 characters per SMS, which means that the SMS message would get truncated in the middle of the 7th SMS message segment. This limit is being increased in the next version to truncate around 8K. Beware, however, that a lot of phones have limits themselves on how many parts they will process in a long SMS message. Quite a few phones won't handle more than 3 parts. -bn | |||
