Hi,

I am trying to send a simple EMS with a 16x16 logo. When I execute the command from the web api the message gets stuck in the message queue with the following details:

SubmittedBy=127.0.0.1
PhoneNumber=
UDH=251223000210
Data=0000008003C01EE00FFA0FF41FF81FE01FE01FE02FD00FE000E0000000000000
pid=00
dcs=F5
Binary=1
[ErrorDetail]
RetryCount=2
LastRetryTime=20080620100151
LastErrorInfo=ERROR - Modem Response (2): +CMS ERROR: 304 -- COM3:

test.bmp (0.1 k)

All I want is to be able to add custom images as part of EMS. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Peter

Hi Peter,

Unfortunately, this is a bug with the GSM modem implementation of most Motorola phones.

The GSM modem implementation has a bug that prevents it from being able to send any SMS messages that include UDH (user data header).

Unfortunately, this includes EMS, WAP Push, long messages, and pretty much every other type of binary message.

We are not aware of any solution other than to use a different modem.
