Is there support for legacy phones as well?
E.G. does a non mms receiver receive a sms with a URL or someting?

No.

In the next version, we do have a configuration option to send the message out as a WAP push (user receives a push link to a WAP/WML page which has links to the individual pieces of multimedia content which the user's phone may or may not allow them to retrieve).

We haven't done an option to send an SMS where the recipient has to key in a link and can view it on their web browser.

We are starting to see more requests for this type of capability, we just haven't implemented it because of doubts that many users would actually take the time to login to a web site to receive such a message.

I've seen other services that in such a situation only forward the message text to the non-MMS phone recipient ... and send a message back to the sender telling the sender that the recipient is only receiving the text.

Basically, we're open for suggestions on good approaches for how to handle this. (Turning the existing logic for a WAP push into an SMS pointer to an HTML link isn't technically very difficult. So if you have a requirement, please talk to us about it. Feel free to e-mail me at nowsms@now.co.uk.)
