Hi Ashot, The tone of your message caused me to do some more investigation. I understand from Lisa that you are waiting for a reply from Bryce. I've talked to him to see if I can help answer any questions. He indicated that there was a long list of questions, and well, those always fall to the end of his inbox. (I know that phenomenom.) Since he hasn't gotten back to you, I've asked him to forward the message to you, so that I can make an attempt at replying. But if you want to discuss some issues here, that is fine as well. The first issue seemed to be something about message encoding problems when message class is present. The way I understand it, one of your SMSC connections expects normal 8-bit encoding for concatenated SMS messages when DCS=0. However, if DCS includes message class information (F0, F1, F2, F3), even though the message is still text, it expects 7-bit packed encoding. We did recently make a change for dealing with this scenario. You can find details in the following thread: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/24097.html I will say that since that change, it seems like we have been getting a lot of inquiries about this particular scenario, so perhaps it is not as unusual as we originally suspected. I'll take a look at your other queries, but looking at the history of the message, the first issue was one that I could provide a pretty quick answer about. -- Des NowSMS Support |
