I have a number of users connecting on different protocols, SMTP and SMPP. One of the users on SMTP sent a large number of messages queued on the root of Q folder while the others on SMPP had ther messages queued in their user folders in Q folder.

The messages in the root of Q folder are currently blocking other users though a 5m/s threashold was set for each user.

Can I conveniently move the mesages in root of Q folder temporarily to another folder to enable sending of messages in these other folders?

Thanks

Hi Ladisuberu,

I can confirm that NowSMS gives priority to anything in the root of the Q directory. And that SMTP users don't have a throttling limit (only SMPP users).

In NowSMS 2008, those SMTP messages would have gone into Q\MMSQ__, which would offer some relief.

But in earlier versions, those messages go directly to the Q.

There is no problem with you manually moving those messages to another folder. A subdirectory beneath Q would be the best solution.
