 Hi could anyone please help me to configure my Samsung E700 all i want to do is send mms from my phone to my friends pc my phone was locked to T-mobile, but is now unlocked to Vodafone, the GPRS is working fine, i downloaded these settings from Vodafone. When i try to send a message mms i get error mms misconfiguratin. Someone please help with this problem as i am going mad..... | |||

Paul, This forum area is for support questions related to the Now SMS/MMS Gateway. So forgive me for being brief, as the support priority here is for customers and potential customers of our products. I can tell you that this is one of the joys of getting an unlocked phone. You generally have to work quite hard at getting all of your settings right. You can find a manual for the E700 on-line at the following web site: http://uk.samsungmobile.com/mobile_phone/sgh-e700/manual.jsp Pages 86 thru 89 will talk about the area where MMS settings are configured. There, you need to supply the appropriate settings for connecting to the Vodafone MMSC. The most important settings are the Server URL, and the GPRS settings for APN and gateway. For Vodafone, the Server URL is: http://mms.vodafone.co.uk/servlets/mms, the GPRS APN is wap.vodafone.co.uk, and the gateway IP is 212.183.137.12 (and if a port is required, that is 9201). Basically, these are the same settings as you configure for the phone's browser, except that the "Server URL" is an MMS specific setting. You should also confirm with Vodafone that MMS access is enabled for your account. | |||
