Dear sirs! We have noticed a serious performance bug - when there are a lot of messages in an outboud queue, inside the folders ###0001, ###0002, etc, sometimes it causes application freezing, and the only way to return it is restart of nowsms... Can we change some preferences in an application to disable creation of these subfolders in a queue folder? Alexander Letunovsky, Animatele inc. | |||

Hi Alexander, I don't think you want to do this. The reason for the separate directories is because Windows can become unresponsive if there are too many directory entries within a single directory level. If you go far beyond 50,000 entries in a single directory, Windows can become completely unresponsive. It is possible to disable the separate directories completely by disabling the separate user queues with the checkbox on the "SMS Users" page. However, I would caution you that this may cause more problems. -- Des NowSMS Support |
