I need to know 1. what happens if nowsms cannot connect to the smsc and the retry period 2. what happens if it cannot bind and retry period 3. Are these conficurable through ini file 4. The transmit and receive PDU Thanks Steve | |||

In an SMPP context, if NowSMS cannot connect or bind, it waits 20 seconds before trying again. It then waits 40 seconds before the next attempt. If the next attempt fails, an error is written to the event log, and NowSMS waits 3 minutes until the next attempt. It then increases the wait for each failure up to 10 minutes between attempts. (These waits may see excessive, however they follow recommendations set by a number of service providers who do not want their systems to be overwhelmed by reconnection attempts after an outage.)
