Hi Alecia,

I've never heard of a Wavecom GSM modem that did not support the SMS commands. What model is it? Is it a really old version?

Do you have a SIM card inserted into the modem? Is there a PIN configured for that SIM? If so, try putting the SIM into a phone and removing the PIN to see if that makes a difference.

It's a good idea to put the SIM into a phone anyway, and confirm that you get service with the SIM, and are able to send an SMS using that SIM in a phone.

Are you the same person that posted in these threads:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/3410.html

If not, follow the instructions in those threads (particularly the second one) to test the modem with HyperTerminal to verify that this AT+CSMS=0 command is returning an error.

(And if you are the same person as those other threads, try to reply back on the same message thread, as it makes it easier to follow what has or has not been attempted.)
