Hi,

I'm trying to connect my Nokia 6610 to now.sms. However I bought the wrong cable (fbus) and I'm trying to find out if there is anyway to convert from FBUS to MBUS.

I managed to find out that if you short RX & TX, you'll be able to convert FBUS to MBUS, but I tried doing so, but still unable to use AT commands in hyperterminal. Anyone can advise on that ?

I'm residing in Singapore. Anyone knows where to get a mbus cable ?

Please enlighten. Thanks !

Hi,

I'm afraid that I have limited knowledge on cable schematics.

It seems to me that most cables (for Nokia compatible phones) sold these days are dual mode switchable FBUS/MBUS.

You might have some luck searching the web for relevant pinouts.

I wish I could help you out more. The cable that Nokia sells for the 6610 is the DKU-5. So you'd want a cable that is compatible with that. They seem to be pretty widely available on the web.
