Is it possible to leave the S: and M: set by default by nowSMS evrytime a mail to sms operation occurs? Or is it possible to personalize it?

Thanks,

Yoyo

sorry for this double post but I got another question: how can I set the Carriage Return char in a mail generated by an asp page in order to obtain it in an sms message (once nowSMS has routed the mail)? chr(13)& chr(10) seems to be wrong... thanks!

Hi Yoyo,

We've made some changes to this interface in the most recent release (actually this release is still in beta).

We are no longer generating the "S:" and "M:" headers, as so many people did not like them. Instead, the format for SMS generated is now: "sender@domain.com /subject of message /message text".

A link to download the beta release that has this change can be found below:

The e-mail to SMS interface strips white space characters, so will not pass ASCII codes for carriage return and line feed. (A typical e-mail message includes extra carriage return and line feed characters that add no value to display on a mobile.)

However, I have to ask ... since you are using ASP ... why are you going through the SMTP interface? The HTTP interface provides more control over formatting, and you can easily include carriage return and line feed characters by including them in the URL text parameter ... %0D%0A ...

Dear Bryce,
thanks A LOT for your advice... I'll use, in fact, the http interface as u told me! :-)

By the way now I got another problem... I want to purchase nowSMS but there's no indication in your site to buy it! Or is it my fault? :-)

Many thanks for your support!
