We've received a report from a customer who upgraded from NowSMS 2008 to NowSMS 2009 where received SMS messages were no longer routed to their 2-way commands. If you experience a problem like this, try changing the "SMS Message Storage" setting under "Properties" of the modem in the "SMSC" list of NowSMS. There were changes in how NowSMS 2009 polls modems for new messages. These changes are to improve performance for situations where aggressive polling of the modem by NowSMS may have slowed down the modem's ability to process received messages. In this particular case, with a Samsung SGH-T609 phone as the modem, the problem was resolved by changing the "SMS Message Storage" setting to "SIM Card". However, different modem devices may work better with different settings, so it is best to try different settings to determine the setting that works best with a particular modem. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
