Hi,

That is VERY odd.

Does this error occur when you try to connect to the SMPP server in the NowSMS configuration program? Or does this error occur when you try to send a message?

The SMSC is returning error code 0x40, which in the SMPP specification is defined as ESME_RINVDESTFLAG "Destination flag is invalid". However, this error should only occur during a submit_multi operation ... and NowSMS never uses that operation.

So basically, we're getting an error back from the SMSC that makes no sense.

It would help to know when this error occurs.

If it is happening when you send a message, do you have a "Default Sender Address" configured for the SMPP connection in NowSMS. If you do not, then please put a valid sender/source address in this field. Otherwise, if you send an SMS via the web interface, NowSMS will try to send it with a blank sender/source address, and many SMSC connections will return unexpected errors in this situation.

That would be my best guess.
