hi all. i have establshed successfully SMPP connection to my operator by nowsms. i am trying to make tests but it fails. i asked my operrator for a solution but they told me that from their side all is ok. i have the error : LastRetryTime=20090807151045 LastErrorInfo=ERROR: System Error - ESME_RSYSERR -- SMPP - xx.xx.xx.xx:5016 plz where is the problem and what is the solution? thanks. | |||

Hi, That error code is being generated by the SMPP provider system. When NowSMS submits the message, the provider is rejecting it with error code 8 (ESME_RSYSERR). That error code is a generic "system error" response. So, everything is most definitely not ok. This type of problem is usually caused by your not having a parameter specified that is required by your provider. The most common issue is if you have left the "Default Sender Address" field blank in the SMPP connection definition. In that case, messages go out with a blank source/sender address, and many providers will reject those messages because they require a source/sender address. If defining a "Default Sender Address" does not resolve the problem, then please describe which parameters your SMPP provider has told you to use for your connection. Sometimes different providers use different terminology, and we need to help you translate that terminology to NowSMS parameter settings. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

i put teh short code at teh sender address and selected again send/receive from teh same connection. then clicked to ok ans told me it is OK. so i hoped all is well. but when i made a test from my application,and from the web interface.i could not receive the message.and the error is still the same. "LastErrorInfo=ERROR: System Error - ESME_RSYSERR -- SMPP - xx.xx.xx.xx:5016" teh operator gave me only teh ip/port ans user/password . plz try to see what coud be the problem. ps: this morning i don't remeber wht i did to receive a correct test. | |||

Close the NowSMS program, then go into it again. Make sure the "Default Sender Address" setting was saved for the SMPP connection. If it was saved correct and you are still seeing this error, you should ask your provider why they are returning an error 8 (ESME_RSYSERR) every time you submit a message. | |||

i did it and still have the same problem. As you said i will have to see with them to solve teh problem and ask them to test it. thanks 4 all Desosms. u are really good one | |||
