I want to connect NowSMS to my phone (N95) to send SMS and MMS messages over Bluetooth.

Every time I restart NowSMS, the phone asks me whether or not to accept the Bluetooth connection? How do I make it accept the connection without asking me every time?

Hi Otis,

The procedure varies by phone, but you generally need to go into Bluetooth settings on the phone, and add your computer as a trusted device (connect automatically).

In the case of the N95, there are two places where you can configure Bluetooth. One is under Settings/Connections, and the other is under Settings/Bluetooth. The Bluetooth setup under Settings/Configuration only lets you turn Bluetooth on and off, set your name and visibility and some other high level options. If you go into the separate Bluetooth settings option, there is a second page that lists devices, and this is where you can make a device trusted so that it connects automatically.

All this said, Nokia phones aren't all that great for using with NowSMS as a modem. They will work for sending SMS and MMS messages, but they can't be used to receive any messages ... so you can't do any two way applications.

If you need to also receive messages, then there are a variety of inexpensive USB stick modems. There is some information on these modems at http://www.nowsms.com/support/GSMModem.htm.
