Why @@MSGDATE@@ variable doesn't represent the SMS date as when we open the message at the phone? The variable is filled with the date the message was received.

Hi Fajar,

The reason for this is because most SMSC interfaces do not supply this information.

There is an SMSC time stamp available when receiving a message via GSM modem, but there is no SMSC time stamp when receiving via the SMPP protocol.

For this reason, we record the time that we receive the message.

It may be possible for us to add another variable for the SMSC time stamp when receiving via a GSM modem, but this information would only be available when using the GSM modem interface to receive messages.

Are you using a GSM modem?

We'll look into adding this.

We already have the @@RECEIVEDSMSC@@ variable, which is only available for messages received via a GSM modem. So we could conceivably add another parameter that was GSM modem specific.

I don't have an ETA at this point, I've just put it into the engineering queue for our team to take a closer look.
