Sir,

My friend introduced me to nowsms a while back.
I installed it and tried to use it,
Though i can send sms & recieve sms thru the web interface,
Sending SMS was painfully slow.
So i stopped using it.

Now recently i downloaded NowSMS 2009 version and tried it again to see whether there could be any improvements is sms sending speed, but still its very slow.

I have a Micromax MMX610U GSM Modem through which i send SMS's.
(Its detected in NowSMS as HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem)
When i send SMS usign the software given with the modem to send SMS, the SMS Sending rate averages around 10 to 13 sms per minute.
(I have tested this many times just to confirm the speed.)

But when i send SMS from web interface of NowSMS or 2 way sms response which sends a sms to a distribution list,
The SMS Sending rate is averaging around one SMS per minute.
yes its 1 SMS/min.
This is painfully slow.

I have also tried setting SMS Access as GSM only (only GSM is supported by my service provider)
and SMS Storage as Direct to Modem.
but no changes percieved.

I also have tried various versions of now sms (some older 2008 version and now 2009 version)
and also in three different systems.
But there is no difference in speed....

After reading a few disscussions here, I enabled SMSGateway Debug and checked both SMSOUT.LOG and SMSDebug.LOG
It confirms my doubt. Each SMS takes about a minute to send.

I don't know what is the reason for this....

Please help me sort out this issue.
Thanking you in advance.

Hi,

If you originally downloaded NowSMS from a web site other than www.nowsms.com, you may have downloaded a so-called "crack" or "warez" versions.

(Note: I'm not accusing you of doing anything dishonest ... in many cases, people are just following a download link from a friend, and don't even realise that it is not legitimate.)

In addition to potentially containing viruses (which is often the case when we investigate these downloads), many of these so-called cracks limit the SMS processing speed to 1 message per minute, even though the "Serial #" page of NowSMS may say otherwise.

Here's what I'd recommend:

Un-install NowSMS. Make sure the NowSMS program directory is deleted after you un-install.

Re-install a fresh copy of the trial version of NowSMS or NowSMS Lite, available for download from http://www.nowsms.com/downloads/smsmmsgateway.htm.

Sorry for any inconvenience, but these so-called alternative download sites are outside of our control.

Sir,

Even though i did uninstall the previous versions i didn't delete the folders manually,
(is it necessary to manually delete them, Aren't they deleted when unistalled automatically)
just installed the newer version after unistalling the older version(2008 version my friend gave)
Could this be a reason ?

I will fully unistall, delete and reinstall 2009 version and test. And get back with the results

regards
