Dear All,

Could you please help me to fix this problem and explain it to me :-(.

1- When (SOMETIMES) I post a SMS (FROM MY WIN.APP. BY LOCAL URL) it goes to Q folder and after that it be an error file. but sometimes there is no problem it working good.

2- When I looking for the SMSOUT file to see errors I see this:

Retry Pending - ERROR: submit_sm or submit_multi failed -- SMPP - xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx,Sender=xxxx

but the sender number was another number for other operator not that number what I want or that I posted it from my program to this operator.
And I see this:

Retry Pending - ERROR: Invalid Source address TON -- SMPP - xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx,Sender=xxxx

this also is not the wanted sender number, it is for other operator (not the same with the first wrong sender number).

So, my Q folder has a lot of sms doesn't go out and my sender is change I don't know why? but sometimes sms don't stay for long time in Q and go out.

Please need help!

Regards;
Thanks

Hi Natheer,

I don't really have enough information to answer your question.

How many outbound SMSC connections do you have defined?

When you submit the SMS by local URL, do you include an "&Sender=" parameter in the URL?

This article explains how NowSMS decides which SMSC connection should be used for sending out a message:

http://blog.nowsms.com/2008/07/routing-sms-messages-to-specifc-smsc.html

Hopefully that link will give you the information that you need.

If it doesn't, then I really need to know how many SMSC connections you have defined, and what rules you are using to route messages to different SMSC connections.

My dear,

Thanks a lot for every thing especially the article.. It was helpfully I didn't know how to route a SMS, but today I tried to use this parameter: "SMSCROUTE" and it's suffice.

Regarding number of SMSC connections, I had two connections, and I didn't face this problem. but when I added the third connection it had emerged.

Regarding how I was route messages.. actually it was automatically. I thought that the range of short codes (and default) it was determined that.

Thank you very mush..
But this mean I'm going to add this parameter to all my services programs.. OH NOOO.

Glad that helped.

If the short codes are unique for each SMSC connection, then routing is automatic if you include a "&Sender=" parameter in the request. (This value needs to match the "Default Sender Address" to qualify as a routing match. If you have multiple short codes for a route, you can put a comma delimited list in the "Default Sender Address".)

But if routing is more complex, then SMSCRoute is the answer!
