Hi Des,

Is posible configure the nowsms with multiple users and that each use a unique modem? And then i would like process each responce though 2way depending on which modem comes.

I need that multiple users send text messages to mobile phones and responses are sent to e-mail to the user that sent the message previously.

Thanks and Regards!

Des,

One more question..

Is possible set a schedule in which users can send messages? If this is possible .. messages that are queued are stopped too?

Regards!

Hi Ramón,

You're using SMS to e-mail/e-mail to SMS, right?

It's a little confusing, but yes, it is possible.

In the "Properties" of the modems in the SMSC list, define the "Phone Number" for each of the modems.

If NowSMS is processing an outbound message where the SMS sender address matches the phone number of one of the modems, it sends it out using that modem only.

Now the tricky part ... how do you map an e-mail sender to a particular SMS sender.

There are two ways to do this, depending on whether or not you are using "SMTP AUTH" (logging in as an "SMS User" account). If you are logging in with an "SMS User" account, define the phone number as the "Forced Sender Address" in the user account definition.

If, instead, you are using the "Authorised E-Mail to SMS/MMS Senders" list, instead of putting in just an e-mail address into this list, use the following format:

email@domain.com,phonenumber

When NowSMS processes an e-mail from "email@domain.com", it will apply "phonenumber" as the SMS sender, and the message will get routed out via the correct modem.

No, there isn't.

But maybe you can tell me a little bit more about what you're thinking?

Would you like to be able to stop all outbound SMS traffic on one or more modems between particular hours?

This does seem to be a somewhat common request, I should probably take it up with engineering.

Des,

Thank for your responce.

Im using web interface to sen messages. Your reply helped me to set the output of messages.

I am processing incoming messages with 2WAY option using mailto:usuario@dominio if the message body begening with a specificated SMS command prefix. Can I map the e-mails using the "resibe phone number(s)" option? Or this option is to map the phone numbers of people who send the messages?

Abaut the schedule:
is to prevent users send messages at inappropriate times, eg at dawn. Like a filesafe.

Thank so much for your time.

regards!

For e-mail going out to SMS, it allows the sender address to be set based upon the e-mail address of the sender.

Hi Ramon,

No, it's a good idea for future versions ... but there is no facility for limiting delivery to certain time periods.
