I could successfully received deliver_sm PDU's from SMPP. But the problem is , the esm_class is set to 0 and short message contains delivery status message.
I heard esm_class will be 4 for the delivery report.
Then the deliver_sm returns lot of status messages, ie not sent by me. I think the smpp will send back with deliver_sm , the messages send through the smpp account right, Then why i receive the unwanted messages....

----

Tell me how many deliver_sm pdu's can be read in single bind request..

Hi Kiran,

This is the NowSMS support forum ... I'm not sure how your question relates to NowSMS. (If this has nothing to do with NowSMS, we do have an unsupported area of the forum where we also do try to help people with question.)

Generally speaking, there are inconsistencies between how different SMPP providers return delivery reports. So unfortunately, esm_class may not always be set. (NowSMS does detect a lot of these situations and set the esm_class appropriately when relaying.)

As for deliver_sm messages delivering status messages for messages that you did not send, if you have multiple people sharing the same user account, this could definitely happen.

As many as the server wants to deliver to you.

You need to acknowledge each with deliver_sm_resp.
