i can't read received Arabic SMS through GSM gateway while i add this line (ReceiveSMSCharset=iso-8859-6) at (SMSGW.INI) and select Arabic at the 2-way SMS and select iso-8859-6 but still the same problem the SMS appear as follow :- [SMS-IN] Sender=+XXXXXXXXXXXXXX PhoneNumber=XXXXXXXXXXXX ModemName=HUAWEI Mobile Connect - 3G Modem dcs=8 Binary=1 Data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any way to make it readable?? | |||

Hi Mexcano, That is the way that the SMS-IN files work. Unicode messages are encoded with "dcs=8" and "data=xx" where xx is the Unicode hex string of data. NowSMS converts to the configured character set only when it passes the message to a 2-way command. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

plz Des, can you make it more easier i want all the received SMS's to be imported to Excel file contains all the details of the message(Sender,text,time...etc) and also supports Arabic Language that received in message body | |||

Do you have a current script that writes the data to Excel? I might be able to provide some guidance if you give me a starting point for your script, but I'm not enough of an Excel script expert to build it from scratch. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
