While sending messages through nowsms and we have the 2-way command prefixes setup correctly. When we have no outbound queue, everything works fine. However, the problem arises when we have remaining numbers in the outbound queue; the 2-way message gets sent automatically to the bottom of the queue.

For example, we have 1000 outbound in the queue, and while sending those, we may receive an inbound sms message that prompts for a response, the response is executed but not until the 1000 CURRENTLY in the outbound queue are finished first.

Is there anyway to set the priority of a reply (2-way keyword trigger command), above the rest of the outbound queue?

Hi AJ,

What is generating this outbound queue?

The easiest way to handle this type of thing is to enable "separate outbound message queues for each user" under the "SMS Users" page.

Make sure your other outbound messages are submitting using a user account different from the one used by your 2-way command responses ... this way, NowSMS will ensure that each user gets a fair chance at sending outbound messages, so that the 2-way response does not have to wait for the other 1000 messages to be sent out.

(Note: If you are using a simple "command returns response text" response in the 2-way command, the 2-way response gets submitted under a local system user account. Just make sure that your other messages are submitted from any user account.)
