I'm sending 8-bit sms data from one phone to another phone that is connected to NowSMS. The NowSMS log seems to convert evertyhing with bit 8 set to a blank (0x20). Not sure what is happening here?

In addition, all of a sudden the NowSMS IN log is not logging every inbound connection. Not too sure, but if the logfile is open when NowSMS needs to write to it, does that data just get discarded?

Thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott,

I think I would have to see an example from the logs, as I don't follow exactly what you are doing. I'd want to see what the data is, how exactly it is being submitted, etc.

Can you enable the debug logs? Specifically the SMSDEBUG.LOG which is enabled by manually editing SMSGW.INI, and adding Debug=Yes under the [SMSGW] section header. (Restart the NowSMS SMS service after making this edit.)

Repeat whatever it is that you're doing, and then post the excerpt from the SMSDEBUG.LOG so that I can better follow the activity.

I'm not aware of any issues with the NowSMS IN log not logging data. There was an issue with the OUT log not logging messages that were routed to an SMPP client account defined on the "SMS Users" page. But I am not aware of anything related to the IN log.

My advice would be to enable the SMSDEBUG.LOG file, and if you spot a discrepancy, we can look at that.
