Hi,

Can you tell me if it possible to use NowSMS as a 'proxy' between a SMPP Server and a SMSC? If this is possible how would i configure it?

Hi AP,

Sort of.

NowSMS is not a transparent SMPP proxy. So it may perform some message conversions in the process. (The primary issue at present is with regard to delivery receipts, where the receipted message ids are not what is expected. We are preparing to fix that in a future release.)

Basically, you configure NowSMS to connect to the SMPP server as its SMSC.

And, then you can configure various clients to connect via SMPP by defining their accounts under the "SMS Users" page, and enabling SMPP for the accounts. Received messages can even be routed to specific client accounts.

One other note, you do have to enable the SMPP server in NowSMS under the "Web" page of the NowSMS configuration dialog.
