Hi, looking at the OMA specs it implies that OTA data settings can be sent to a phone using the IMSI of the SIM card as the NETWPIN and the phone will save and register the updated settings without any user intervention. There is even a company which has written a white paper to this effect and is promoting a product/service which it claims can do this, do you know if it is possible to do this with NowSMS assuming the phone being used supported it? Do you know if anyone has ever succeeded in doing this using NOWSms and a Symbian Series 60 or any other phone ? Thanks, Brendan. | |||

Hi Brendan, NowSMS does support NETWPIN signing with the IMSI. It has been quite some time since I experimented with this on different devices, but I seem to recall that S60 devices still required the user to open the message. Maybe recent S60 devices are different, so I'd suggest experimenting with your target devices. -- Des NowSMS Support |
