Hi Bryce

Got 2 connections via HTTP configured on NOWSMS gateway from the operator side. Am testing SMPP connection. I face the problem that while testing via SMPP all the messages are routed via one connection. I have set the routing option on the HTTP connections but still all the messages which we test via SMPP are routed via the first connection only though routing is in place and technically it should route properly.

Strange part is that while we test via HTTP its working properly. That is messages are being routed properly. So the routing is proper.

Kindly do help in this matter.

Thanks

Hi Bryce

Getting one more problem on SMPP again. If i configure 2 SMPP connections on NOWSMS gateway, both of them dont function properly. I mean the messages dont terminate properly. But If i delete on SMPP connection then the remaing SMPP connection works perfectly.

Can you let me know why this is happening.

Kindly do help in this matter.

Thanks
Ramesh

Ramesh,

I'm sorry, but I don't understand.

What do you mean by "the messages dont terminate properly"?

Are these two SMPP connections to the same server (same host name and port)?

If so, you can run into problems there ... see

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/485/791.html
http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/2167.html

If this is not the problem that you are experiencing, please explain in more detail what you are seeing go wrong.

Hi Bryce

I had checked the 2 posts which you mentioned but the issue there was the Same IP address. I have 2 seperate IP address's/Hostname's connecting on seperate ports and seperate login details.

Am using two seperate IP addresss and 2 seperate Operator SMSC connections and connecting via SMPP. Now am using ROuting option to route few countries via one SMPP connection and few via other SMPP connections.

Now this works perfectly well with HTTP access. That is i call the HTTP string and send the message. But when I use SMPP all the messages are routed via the First SMPP operator connection which i have set in order. Routing is not working for SMPP in short and all the messages sent via SMPP are routed via only one SMPP connection and not the other one.

Kindly do help in this matter.

Thanks

Hi

This are my SMPP details as in SMSGW FILE:

[SMPP - 202.144.54.142:3780]
SMPPVersion=v3.3
UserName=XXXX
Password=XXXX
Receive=No
ReceiveMMS=No
[SMSGW]
Modem1=SMPP - 202.144.54.142:3780
WebAuth=Yes
WebMenu=Yes
WebPort=8800
SMPPPort=5555
Modem2=SMPP - 80.69.27.150:2775
ReceiveSMS=No
ReceiveMMS=No
Modem3=SMPP - 202.175.124.188:8002
[SMPP - 80.69.27.150:2775]
SMPPVersion=v3.3
UserName=XXXX
Password=XXXX
Receive=No
ReceiveMMS=No
RoutePrefOnly=Yes
Route1=92*
[SMPP - 202.175.124.188:8002]
SMPPVersion=v3.3
UserName=XXXX
Password=XXXX
SystemType=_dev
Receive=No
ReceiveMMS=No
RoutePrefOnly=Yes
Route1=31*

What is happening that via HTTP URL the routing is happening propelry. But when i try connecting via SMPP all the messages are routed via Modem1=SMPP - 202.144.54.142:3780. Its not taking the routing into account if i connect via SMPP.

Do let me know.

Regards
Ramesh
